Description

Areas of Interest: CIMA is seeking companies and research organizations with technologies or expertise in the following areas:

 

· Solubilization technologies for oral delivery

· Bioavailability-enhancing technologies for oral delivery

· Oral delivery of proteins/peptides

· Enabling technologies for oral transmucosal delivery, orally disintegrating dosage forms, and taste-masking

· Protein stabilization

· Blood/brain barrier transport delivery systems

· “Smart” drug delivery (patient-specific, feedback dosing, non-device)

How to Participate:

 

  • Review the CIMA areas of interest and identify those that match technologies either owned or under development by your organization
  • Ensure that your organization has relevant published papers, presentation materials and/or patents that can be reviewed by CIMA
  • To make a technology submission, please contact Andy Melnyk andy.melnyk@international.gc.ca at the Consulate General of Canada in Minneapolis. You will be provided with an "Expression of Interest" template to complete.
  • All completed expressions of interest must be submitted via e-mail to andy.melnyk@international.gc.ca
  • CIMA will review all submissions to determine those of specific interest for future follow-up

Background

Twin Cities-based CIMA (www.cimalabs.com), a subsidiary of Cephalon (www.cephalon.com), specializes in drug delivery technologies and is seeking to do business with innovative Canadian organizations. The company, in partnership with the Consulate General of Canada Minneapolis, is seeking additional partners interested in out-licensing or co-developing novel drug delivery technologies. CIMA is open to a variety of business relationships to accommodate the varied circumstances of potential partners including; in- licensing, acquisition and co-development partnerships.
