The RadClean toilet seat is designed for the decontamination of the seat area using UV irradiation. The device has a particular suitability to medical facilities, public washrooms and other high traffic toilets. The system includes safety features so that it only runs when the seat cover is placed down on the seat, preventing UV exposure to the user and has a built in timer to turn off the UV light after the desired timed exposure is reached. These features conserves power, improve safety and increase component life. Our current prototype is a custom designed toilet seat with fully integrated components is almost indistinguishable from a regular seat. A second option is a small upgrade kit to existing seat covers. attachable as a cost effective retrofit.
Fills a niche that is not currently occupied. Allows for decontamination of toilet seat between uses.
Private and Public washrooms.
Final stages of optimization.
